After the driveshaft or transfer case breaks free, the loose driveshaft is likely to come through the cab floor, and/or rupture nearby fuel / brake / transmission lines, causing fire in some cases.

This driveshaft loop will NOT prevent driveshaft failures BUT will protect from secondary damage in the event of a failure.

NOTE: It is still recommended to grease AND inspect your driveshaft frequently.
